All District Community members are encouraged to continue with their family emergency preparedness planning. Part of that planning ought to be your method of transportation out of the area, should we be required evacuate.
As part of our planning, we have arranged for bus transportation for those who have no alternative options, should it be required. It is important that we understand the needs of the community. If you are unable to self-evacuate with your own vehicle and may require bus transportation as an option, please either complete a brief survey by following this link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TDRT82Z or call 250-256-0013 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
If you know of someone who may require bussing as an option and they are unable to complete the form, or perhaps do not see this message, please encourage them to do the same.
Important to note:
Busses cannot accommodate pets, animals, or lifestock. Owners are encouraged to make alternative arrangements if unable to self-evacuate. The BC SPCA may be able to provide assistance. Call them at 1-855-622-7722.
We will continue to make plans, out of an abundance of caution. For information on how your family can continue your planning process, please visit: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/…/emer…/preparedbc/make-your-plan
